A FEW WORDS FROM THE ARTIST...

Q: Why the name Vango?
A: I chose the name Vango because one of my favourite artists is Vincent van Gogh and the word vango sounds like vandalise and go.

Q: How did it all start?
A: I am an anonymous street artist based in Ireland going by the name Vango. I've been interested in art since I was a kid and always loved street art.

Q: How did you get into graffiti art?
A: I was inspired by Banksy Nick Walker, Insect and most of the POW artists. The style of my street work is quite similar and recently I have found myself painting interesting faces and drippy portraits. I like to incorporate my political views into my street work and some of my canvas work.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: I hope to become a respected street and political artist and I will continue to sell my work and build my styles.

Q: When did you start working on the streets?
A: I started working on the streets a year ago after contemplating it for awhile. Where I live graffiti is not the done thing let alone political and outspoken art.
